Psychotropic Temple
Cinema Mystica
Budapest, Hungary
Interactive / Inmersive
Visual Design & Interactive System

Interactive immersive installation where visitors influence the visuals in real time.

Overview

Created for the Cinema Mystica exhibition in Budapest, this interactive installation combines projection mapping, real-time visuals and motion interaction to transform visitors into active participants.

Curved wall and floor projections expand the visuals into the space, while an interactive sensor system allows the environment to respond dynamically to audience movement. An infinite mirror above enhances the depth and immersion of the experience.

Technical Setup

The installation was built using a real-time system combining TouchDesigner and Resolume, enabling responsive and dynamic visual behavior.

A Kinect camera was used to track audience movement, feeding interaction data into the visual system. The setup included three projectors — two covering the curved wall and one for the floor projection — creating a continuous immersive surface.

An infinite mirror structure with integrated LED strips was installed above the space, amplifying depth and adding an additional visual layer to the environment.
